Boost Training Transfer Using Predictive Learning Analytics™

Master the Science of Using Data to Increase Training Transfer 

Bring this innovative, highly interactive, "how to" workshop in-house to familiarize your L&D team with a data-driven way to measure, monitor, and manage the amount of scrap learning associated with a training program. Participants will learn how to use two predictive and three descriptive metrics to increase training transfer.


After attending this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Identify the impact “scrap learning” has on wasted organization resources and lost credibility with business executive stakeholders. 
  • Use five key Predictive Learning Analytics™ metrics to identify the underlying causes of scrap learning associated with a training program.
  • Determine which participants are most likely, at-risk, and least likely to apply what they learned in a training program back on the job.
  • Determine which managers of the program participants are likely to provide active or passive support for the training.
  • Determine which of the three research-based training transfer components and twelve training transfer factors contribute the most and least to training transfer.
  • Calculate the amount of scrap learning associated with a training program and identify the obstacles inhibiting participants from applying what they learned.
  • Validate the accuracy of your participant training transfer predictions using Level 2 and Level 3 evaluation data. 
  • Create reports showing your Predictive Learning Analytics™ results and gain increased credibility with business executive stakeholders. 

2-DAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

DAY 1: 

Morning

  • Scrap learning and its impact on wasted organization resources and lost credibility
  • Predictive Learning Analytics™ overview
  • Build your Predictive Learning Analytics™ survey

Afternoon

  • Calculate Learner Application Index™, Manager Training Support Index™, and Training Transfer Component Index™ scores
  • Calculate the baseline scrap learning percentage associated with a training program and identify the obstacles hindering training transfer

DAY 2:

Morning

  • Identify and implement targeted corrective actions to maximize training transfer
  • Create a valid, scientifically sound Level 2 knowledge test
  • Create a valid, scientifically sound Level 3 participant survey

Afternoon

  • • Validate the accuracy of your PLA predictions using Level 2 and Level 3 evaluation data
  • • Report your Predictive Learning Analytics™ results and gain increased credibility
