Mastering M&E: Less Stress, More Success Creating Level 1-4

Master the Art and Science of Creating Level 1-4  Evaluations

Bring this highly engaging workshop in-house to equip your L&D team with a powerful, comprehensive approach to measurement and evaluation. Participants will gain practical tips and specific guidelines for creating valid, scientifically sound Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 evaluations that produce credible data with high perceived value. These tips and guidelines are grounded in current education and behavioral science research findings in test creation and survey design methodology.


After attending this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Use the 5 Level evaluation model to build a “chain of evidence” demonstrating training program value.
  • Create Level 1 evaluations that produce highly valued data and can be used to predict participant post-training behavior.
  • Create valid, scientifically sound multiple-choice, true/false, matching, and fill-in-the-blank Level 2 quizzes and tests that prove whether participant learning occurred.
  • Identify the difference between test questions that measure job application versus those that measure mere recall.
  • Create scientifically sound Level 3 participant surveys that measure on-the-job behavior change.
  • Use a two-phase, eight-guideline process for conducting Level 4 evaluations that connect a learning program with business results.
  • Use statistics to summarize quantitative and qualitative evaluation data and interpret and draw conclusions from the results.

  • Create your own Level 3 participant survey

Afternoon

  • • Create a Level 4 evaluation plan
  • • Summarize and interpret your evaluation data
